Green Architecture & Urbanism

Philosophy
gau aims at achieving organic architecture defined as Architecture for Man, Time and place. At gau we view architecture as a reflection of culture, man in our design resembles the cultural and historic heritage that reflects the user of the building.

Man also reflects the needs of the client onto the building function, as we try to mould the building’s spaces in harmony with the client’s vision.

Time refers to the technological component of the project. Today’s projects shall take advantage of the twenty first century’s technology, creating more economic and functional spaces to better serve the client’s needs.

Place reflects the context in which we build. Whether a busy city center, desert or agricultural area, context is one of the most important criteria which shall be considered. The context also resembles the environment; gau is dedicated to designing environmentally efficient buildings that function on the users comfort in a variety of ways. While studying the environmental
dimensions of buildings we take into account building materials, thermal comfort, maximizing the use of natural lighting…
etc. (for more information please refer to our services description document). This is achieved through a process of design and design testing (through reliable simulation) to assure that the design performs efficiently towards achieving the users comfort in the most economic means.
